2012: Unscripted New York's 1st Year - What a Fest!
We did it! We brought together more than 100 of the BEST improvisational actors around, to CELEBRATE improvised theatre and film and showcase fully improvised, narrative works – and we had a BLAST!
A Hearty Thanks to all our Supporters! Thanks to more than 50 Rockethub Fuelers, our devoted Artistic New Directions arts community, more than 100 performers, roughly 50 students, and dozens of committed New York theatre and film enthusiasts, Unscripted New York was a success! In our first year, the festival included 18 improvised shows, 6 improvised films, 3 workshops with Nationally Renowned Improvised Theatre teachers, a Pay-What-U-Can Panel on Improvisation 4.0, and more – all in an inclusive, open atmosphere that embraces all performers and theatregoers, regardless of age, experience, or background.
Not only did we have GREAT shows (see review links below) -- we created, improvised, shot, edited, and screened a short video ENTIRELY during the Fest! Check out the All Improvised short: "ACTUALITY" Below!
